The legal separation of the cannabis industry has created a new legal center that’s trying to protect consumers from the dark side of the business.
Recode is following up on an interview with legal cannabis activist and former U.S. senator and presidential candidate Rand Paul, who has pushed for more oversight and regulations of the industry, as well as on the release of the new legal separation center.
Paul told Recode the new center, called The Rand Paul Institute for the Advancement of Free and Fair Markets, is working with the federal government to make sure consumers are protected from the effects of legal cannabis.
The institute is also working with industry representatives to make it easier for people to get licensed to buy cannabis in states where recreational marijuana is legal.
Paul, a Kentucky Republican, has long advocated for greater regulation of the growing and retailing of cannabis, including new laws on cultivation, testing and retail.
He was also an outspoken critic of President Donald Trump’s executive order to end federal government oversight of the medical cannabis industry, and is currently seeking a third term in the Senate.
The Rand Institute is now working with regulators to create a framework for regulating the growing, processing, packaging, and sale of cannabis.
“I think it’s very important to have a place where consumers can go to know what’s in their medicine, where they can go if they need a medical marijuana recommendation and what they can do to help,” Paul said.
“It’s also very important for regulators to have some tools to protect their patients and protect the health of their patients.
I think it is really important that consumers can have access to this medicine safely, legally, and in a way that’s safe for their health and that they can be assured that their medical marijuana will be safe, safe, and legal.”
The Rand Paul Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, which means the foundation does not take in money from corporations.
The foundation has more than $100 million in annual revenue, which is nearly double the average of 501(b) and (c) groups, according to its most recent IRS filing.
The Paul Foundation does not disclose its donors, and there is no prohibition on the organization disclosing the names of its donors.
But the foundation has been criticized for not doing so in its most recently reported tax filing, which revealed that the foundation received almost $100,000 in payments from two different law firms, which are the same firm that helped advise the Rand Paul campaign.
According to the Rand Foundation, it has received $25 million in grant support from more than 100 organizations.
The most recent grant, which was made in January 2018, has raised more than a quarter million dollars.
The foundation’s mission statement states that its goal is to improve consumer access to legal cannabis, by providing information on the industry’s legal, taxation, regulation, and distribution processes, as part of the public debate on marijuana legalization.
Paul said the center is trying to create “a better consumer experience for the cannabis consumer, which I think is important, and I think that we can all agree that there is a lot more work to be done to improve the consumer experience in this country.”
The institute is still trying to find a way to protect consumer privacy, according the foundation’s website.
While it will not be sharing any specific data about customers, it will use third-party tools to help make its consumer protection programs more secure, the foundation says.
“We will be using our technology to collect and use a number of different types of personal data in order to provide this service, including but not limited to information about how the consumer interacts with the website, what content is displayed, how much time the consumer spends on the website and the type of content being displayed,” the foundation states.
“In addition, we will be leveraging technologies to enhance the privacy of consumers by collecting data from the web browser and device they are using, which could include information about the website’s privacy settings and settings on the device.”
The foundation says it will be working with federal agencies and law enforcement to make its information collection and use better, and will use these technologies to help protect consumers, including in the event of an incident.
Paul’s campaign did not respond to Recode’s request for comment on the institute.
